Soybean seeds
Soy itself is a very rich source of nutrients. Due to the many lecithins and isoflavones contained in it, and due to the unique extraction process, the beneficial active ingredients of soybean seeds are present in significant amounts. Soy is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, helps digestion, is very effective in treating fat metabolism complaints.
Rich Nutrient Source
It is already known to vegetarians and those who follow a vegan diet that soy is the only source of vegetable protein that contains all nine essential amino acids.
Beneficial for Circulation
It can lower “bad” cholesterol (LTD-cholesterol, but even triglyceride) levels, while it increases “good” cholesterol (HDL-cholesterol) levels and has a beneficial effect on circulation.
Detox
In addition to its detoxifying effect, lecithin extracted from soybean seeds helps to reduce liver and bile diseases.
Genistein
Some U.S. research confirms that one of the isoflavones in soybean seeds, GENISTEIN, is more effective at fighting cancer cells than currently known treatments, while not damaging healthy cells.
Like most wholesome foods, soybeans have a number of health benefits.
1. It can reduce your risk of cancer
However, most observational studies suggest that consumption of soy products may reduce the risk of breast cancer (1, 2)
Studies have also shown a protective effect against prostate cancer in men (3, 4, 5).
Many soybean compounds, including isoflavones and lunazine, may be responsible for potential cancer-preventing effects (6, 7).
Early age exposure to isoflavones may provide particular protection against later-onset breast cancer (8, 9).
This evidence is limited to observational studies that suggest an association between soy consumption and cancer prevention - but does not demonstrate a causal relationship.
2. Relieving the symptoms of menopause
Menopause is often accompanied by unpleasant symptoms such as sweating, hot flashes and mood swings caused by a decrease in estrogen levels.
Interestingly, Asian women, especially Japanese women, experience less symptoms of menopause than Western women. Higher consumption of eating habits such as soy foods in Asia may explain this difference.
Studies have shown that isoflavones, a family of phytoestrogens found in soybeans, can alleviate these symptoms (10, 11).
Soy products do not affect all women in this way. Soy seems to be effective only for so-called equol growers - those who have types of gut bacteria that can convert isoflavones to equol. Equol may be responsible for many of the health benefits of soy.
3. Bone health
Osteoporosis is characterized by a decrease in bone density and an increased risk of fractures, especially in older women.
Consumption of soy products may reduce the risk of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women (12, 13).
These beneficial effects appear to be due to isoflavones (14, 15, 16).
4. Additional benefits
In addition to its vitamin and mineral content, soybeans are a natural source of polyphenols, a type of antioxidant that can help protect the body from cell damage and conditions such as heart disease (17, 18).
